Since the early twentieth century, the experience of horror and science fiction has largely been mediated through the language of cinema. Archive.org has made available a number of classic titles that have fallen into the public domain, ranging from the very best of the genre, such as Nosferatu and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, to the very worst, such as Manos: The Hands of Fate and Plan 9 from Outer Space, both of which routinely vie for the title of worst film ever made.
