My last camping trip was between summer school and fall semester in 1970. Had a sleeping bag and slept at some park near Casper the first night and the next night rented a cabin in Yellowstone (didn't want to be bear bait). By 10:00 the next morning it was a solid line of campers in the opposite lane with a camper in front and another behind. The only view of the scenery was through the passenger window. Escaped Yellowstone and headed north to Glacier Park and on into Canada. The Canadian campgrounds were pretty good with a movie after dark. Headed south at Winnipeg and went through a real bug storm in Iowa, had to stop several times to scrape the bugs off the windshield.
