His more extreme ideas should be lost in the storeroom of one.

Deconstruction was a brilliant flash of intuition. Derrida did the heavy lifting, with Foucault along for the ride. Unfortunately, they realized it was such a simple concept that they couldn't merely publish a short paper and leave it alone. Heck no. If they did that, word would get out, and pretty soon any yokel anywhere including, heaven forfend, flyover country would see it, grasp it, and apply it. The thought of that occurring gave them the mightiest cast of vapors seen at the Ivies in decades. So they combined their considerable academic weight and spent the rest of their lives writing increasingly obtruse and opaque volumes, so that they could keep the secret to themselves.

And that, boys and girls, is how Deconstruction became a sort of Mystery Cult.

It was amazing and amusing to watch professors fall all over it, as though they'd found the Holy Grail. Even better, most could not quite grasp the core concept, so they hid that under mountains of verbiage. That practice has become the norm for writing about Lit Crit. If you understand it, you can state it plainly and simply. If you don't, bury that fact under jargon.
