"This thesis examines the
scientific evidence for the archaeological claims of The Cerutti Mastodon Site, the set of
conditions that allowed for the possible misinterpretation of the site as being necessarily
archaeological in nature, the subsequent publishing of these claims in a major scientific
journal, the lack of appropriate public scrutiny by experts in the field, the
misrepresentation of the site to the general public, and the unintended consequences of
these mistakes. In addition, this thesis examines how the issue could have been
properly handled during many missteps along the way and how the damage already
done can now be fixed.

I've been adding new stuff all along. Repeating nothing else could account for the upright tusk over and over doesn't make it true. You may not believe the critics, but the burden of proof for the Cerutti site is with the authors of the Nature paper. No one has to falsify their site, they have to prove it...unequivocally.
One trillion Middle Stone Age flakes, artifacts, and cores, in Africa, from multiple digs by multiple archaeologists, covering thousands of years of continuity, hundreds of hominin bones and hominin teeth, thousands of alleged cut-marks at sites where unequivocal stone tools were found together.

"Greetings from the idiots who have been monitoring hundreds of construction sites, filling the SDNHM exhibit halls
and research collections as well as discovering the CMS since 1981."

Right, I believe him, the hundreds of reports prove it, but what he forgot to tell us is they haven't found one Middle Stone Age flake or artifacts at any of these hundreds of sites...ZERO, compared to the trillions in Africa. This violates Sagan's
first rule: "•Wherever possible there must be independent confirmation of the “facts.” Well, hundreds of potential sites in the San Diego area, thousands across the Americas total and still zero.
The USA has had thousands if not millions of construction sites dug and still zero. So one can't say "wherever possible" hasn't been looked at enough times to get the odds of finding future unfound Middle Stone Age sites in the Americas if they have been missed so far. It's about a trillion to one against. If Holen et al. want to start a GoFundMe to look some more, great, but I'm not sending them a dime. Bad odds.
