There's one thing I don't have - Sethe. Bits and pieces of Allen/Faulkner/Gardiner seem to suggest to me the interpretation as 'cavern' made need further review. I would view it as a reference -> 'a space through which something emerges' 'from the inside to outside' 'a transitional catalyst' .. that sort of thing. Add that as context to the Abu/Elephantine worldview and we get a point of (let's say) transition, that being, the Nile waters at that point 'leave' the south and 'enter' the north, effectively rendering the geography the focus.

Thus the account of Herodotus (possibly garbled before it reached us?) where he terms it as a 'source' could be drawn from 'where the waters begin [to enter the kingdom]'.

Other than that, the root of the Nile residing at Elephantine (in the aforementioned vein of thought) is certainly implied, while the location itself is without doubt a divine location.

Long while back I found the White Chapel - fascinating - a telling resource there is much more 'hidden' or lost to us at present. *Fair warning*: for those willing to go beyond a brief read on it, don't say I didn't warn you about entering a deep 'cavern' !! Lol. smiling smiley

Again, you're welcome. Incidentally, this topic is a definitive sub-plot to perhaps my oldest endeavor! Been working on it since my 'early years'. Thanks for posting the question. smiling smiley

Repeating your claims endlessly won't work - publish your research
