Hi Chris,
Thank you. I had a feeling stars would come in to the conversation... no doubt you and Mr. L. Cooper favor a celestial composition incorporated into pyramid design, as you mention his title as Priest of Shezmetet suggests there is an outside chance for such. I may be out on a limb to suggest that even though Iunu was the (only?) cult center for Atum-Re it more than likely included shrines and enclosures for the Ennead gods as well protectorate gods like shezmetet. A pyramid complex as the 'fulcrum' or portal to afterlife in my view must include all that support and provide for Atume-Re's daily re-enactment of creation at sunrise.
As to Hemiunu, the attribute of being Khufu's pyramid architect or designer seems to be related entirely on the title of "Overseer of all the Kings works" which could refer to many other possibilities... And that his mastaba exists in the western field as opposed to the eastern gives pause on his importance i.e. royal hierarchy and even demi-god status given to IMHOTEP for the same job. Though his mastaba complex is impressive, do we know where his fathers tomb is?
Best,
