I think that it is important to highlight the geometric solution first of all because this approach weighs against any kind of astronomical theory.

On page 166 of my monograph on the Grand Gallery I noted that the seked of 8 1/2 palms is 39 degrees 28 minutes, which is very close to the reported angle of the QCSS.

The centre of the niche of the Queen's Chamber is displaced from the centre-line of the chamber(as the vertical from the peak of the East Wall to the floor), by 8 1/2 palms.
