I don't think that the star theories were created to depict close by stars like Sun and alpha Centauri. The major factor is position, shape formed, and most of all brightness.

The architects of the pyramid through documenting advanced scientific knowledge showed that they were well aware of the nature of true stars.

In the greater Giza area, there is one geographical reference point and this is Heliopolis. So G2 - G1 pyramids point to Heliopolis.

Prior actions have to start somewhere. What part of their original pre-pyramid religion or culture drove them to build pyramids? Let's put aside their religious and cultural beliefs that related to stars(meaning stars or planets) and mountains.
